A Velveteen Rose

Posted by, Paulette

While digging through my bag of scraps I came upon a small scrap of velveteen. This is one of my favorite fabrics to work with. This particular scrap was left over after making Christmas dresses for my girls years ago, from a thrifted ladies skirt. It's amazing how many lives this particular fabric has had. I used some of it for Rosa's flamenco shoes. There's still some left. I wonder what shape it will take?

This time I decided to make a rose pin. Then when it was made, I thought it needed a little something. So, I embroidered up a bee and sewed him on there.

A piece of cheese cloth became the wings. This pin is available in my shop.
