Don't throw that away! I can use it

I have 5 trunks full of fabric. Most of them are in pieces that aren't big enough to do much with. Not even a fell yard. But I keep them anyway. I'm a doll maker. And doll clothes don' use much fabric. You would think that an old sheet could get thrown out, right? Nope. I'm gonna keep that too. Old stained and torn sheets make great drop cloths for painting, as well as cover ups to keep the bushes to freeze in the few nights that we get winter in Arizona. Apparently they're also great for making roses! Who knew? I'd seen a great wreath made of burlap roses on Choose to Thrive. Thanks for the great idea and tutorial Nike! I'm pretty sure I'll be stopping by time to time to check you out.

See how the stained part of the fabric makes the rose look tea stained? I love it!
This turned out to be a free project for me because I had all of the supplies on hand. There are SO MANY THINGS you can do with a white sheet. tomorrow, I'll show you some more. Have a great day, and go and MAKE SOMETHING!

  1. That wreath is beautiful! I would pay money for it and you made it for free! I wish I was more crafty...
